JUNE Agenda 2024

    For the Village Board Meeting on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024 at 6:30pm

    Correspondence:

    OLD BUSINESS

    • Rachel Kitchen Residence: Update presentation by John Sutton.
    • Report on the successful existing storm drainage clean out and mapping. Copies of the property map showing catch basins and direction of flow will be displayed.
    • We need to hire Kenyon Brothers to create a small ditch to increase the pathway through the discharge area in back of Perry DeMarsh’s property.
    • Survey Results Letter: Stuff envelopes and send them out to the residents
    • Village banner for events for handing on our table is now in our possession. I will be meeting with Adirondack sign very soon to determine a time to install the 20 street banners onto the telephone poles. They will also be installing the directional sign at the 4 corners soon. Blue plastic tape has been put up on the poles that are to have the banners. 5 banners on each of the 4 streets will be installed.
    • Town Supervisor, JD Arnold, mentioned he would be taking steps to have the 4 Town signs removed at the Village perimeters.
    • Provide link to Board members to complete required annual harassment training.

    NEW BUSINESS

    • Report on 6th Grade Volunteer Day which was held in conjunction with the Glenville Hills Garden Club on Wednesday, May 22nd.
    • Time to do a check to see if any of our street lights are out. They are to be replaced with LED lights/fixtures as the original incandescent lights burn out.
    • Have a new electrician take out the light fixture inside the large gazebo and give him or her key/ access to circuit boxes in the Village Park.
    • Develop an outline for dates/times for Board members to go over the Village Laws, and amend as needed.
    • Report on DEC Wetlands Event for Municipalities from May 30th, 2024
    • Discussion of the possibility of having a small sign made (8”x10” ?) for the Village of Galway office location. Hang on the door? Hang on a free standing pole? Etc. It should say something like “Office for the Village of Galway”
    • Report on Memorial Day parade & Village Park vending, May 27th, 2024
